Tastify
Terms

Terms of service.

These terms apply when you use Tastify: the website, the Chrome extension and the briefs it writes. By signing in or using it, you agree to them.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 to use Tastify, and if you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. Keep your sign-in, extension and agent tokens to yourself; you're responsible for what happens with them. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

Plans and limits

The free plan includes 10 captures per account. An invite code from us makes your account unlimited. To keep Tastify running for everyone, there's also a daily limit on AI requests. We may change plans and limits; if we start charging, we'll tell you before anything you use becomes paid, and nothing will charge you without your agreement.

Your content

Your boards, answers and uploads stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Tastify for you, which includes sending them to our providers, such as Anthropic, to write questions and briefs (see the privacy policy).

What you capture

Websites you capture belong to their owners. Tastify is for saving references for your own work and saying what you like about them. You're responsible for how you use your captures and briefs. In particular, don't:

  • use them to copy someone else's design, text, pictures or brand outright, or otherwise infringe their rights;
  • capture pages or information you aren't allowed to access, or other people's private information without their permission;
  • upload anything unlawful.

Using Tastify fairly

Don't try to get around the plan limits or invite codes, share or sell access, overload or break the service, scrape it, or reach anyone else's data. We may suspend accounts that do.

AI-written briefs

Questions and briefs are written by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them. What you build with them, and with the tools you hand them to, is up to you; those tools have their own terms.

Tastify's own content

The Tastify name, site and software belong to us. The screenshots of other websites on our public pages belong to their owners and are shown with credit; see Content & removals.

No warranty

Tastify is new and provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or business, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months and US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending

You can stop using Tastify and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and if we ever shut Tastify down, we'll give you notice and a chance to download your boards.

Changes, law and contact

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and tell you if the change matters; using Tastify after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Questions go to marklee@berkeley.edu.
